S140 Lawn Tractor

48-Inch Deck. 22 HP V-Twin. Residential Workhorse.

The John Deere S140 Lawn Tractor is the step-up model from the S130 in the S-Series line, adding a wider 48-inch Edge Cutting System mower deck for faster mowing on larger lawns. The 48-inch deck is a good match for 1-4 acre properties where the S130's 42-inch deck starts to feel undersized.

Power comes from a 22 HP John Deere V-twin gasoline engine , and the hydrostatic transmission with side-by-side pedals delivers smooth, infinitely-variable speed control.

The reinforced deck shell, tight 16-inch turning radius, and comfortable high-back seat make this a capable residential mower that handles weekly mowing duty on mid-sized properties without drama.
